Oval Tray: She-Mandrake

From the Cryptic Creatures Collection. Drawing from medieval illuminations, a visit to Pompeii and British wildlife; illustrated in murky, earthy tones with a host of motifs and critters from ancient otherworlds.

A versatile tray for snacks or trinkets. Dark chestnut brown shiny satin glaze with mandrake lady motif. In medieval European folklore, mandrakes were often depicted as humans because their roots resemble a body and they had therapeutic medicinal uses.
